Aurora Design Fund has allocated over 11,000,000 ISK (EUR 70,000/USD 95,000) to Icelandic architecture and design.

This is the first allocation of Aurora Design Fund grants this year and the sixth since it was established in 2009. There will be another allocation in autumn 2011.


The Aurora Design Fund is a three-year experimental project aimed at enhancing Icelandic design by providing designers and architects with financial support. Its aim is to support designers in promoting themselves, their ideas, products and projects and to assist with product development and marketing both domestically and abroad.
