Fashion designer Vala Torfadóttir and her label Spaksmannsspjarir are currently celebrating their 20th anniversary, congratulations! Here are the birthday hero’s recommendations to Reykjavik paired with illustrations by our super intern Florian Lohse.

I love golfing, and my favorite golf course is Oddur in Heiðmörk, but we also have a very good golf course’s in Reykjavík like G.R.

The street and it’s surroundings on a Saturday in a nice sunny day. Many interesting shops and happy people enjoying themselves.

My favorite lunch places are Núðluskálin, Ostahúsið and Fish. Good food and good prices.

Many nice places such as the Reykjavik Art gallery, the harbor and my favorite cafe Iða bookcafe.

Art gallery where I like to go with my granddaughter.

6. Grasagarðurinn í Laugardal
I love to take a walk there and then go to Café Fóra to have an open sandwich.

A very good farmers market and organic food shop.

The National Museum of Iceland – many interesting things to see for all age groups.
