Hi all,
How are you?

We have a new playlist for you, this time by fashion designer Eygló, another one of the participants of MUSES, a show orchestrated by the Icelandic Association of fashion designers that explores the ways in which fashion designers’ and musicians’ work influences each other.

Eygló is a member of Kiosk, a collective of 9 independent designers that co-own the store Kiosk on Laugavegur in Reykjavik.

Known for her pattern making and detailing skills, the Eygló collections are often both futuristic and humorous in their feel.

I just discovered two artists last month. Connan Mockasin and Blood Orange. Very different but both quite amazing.

Lean back to listen to Eygló’s playlist, we hope you’ll enjoy it!

Blood Orange – Time Will Tell

Love the white turtleneck and the dancing. Very sensual and fun.

Blood Orange – Champagne Coast

Very nice video here:

Connan Mockasin – I’m The Man, That Will Find You

Important note: “He’s also wearing a turtleneck”. Both black and white.

Connan Mockasin – Faking Jazz Together

This is incredibly beautiful, both song and video.

Laid Back – Baker Man

Classic from Laid Back, gets me always in a good mood.

Ghost – Year Zero

Then we can’t forget the disco satanic pop/rock that inspired me for the TEASER show in SPARK.

The opening of Muses is on Wednesday, March 26 at 8.30 pm at Kex Hostel, featuring live performances by awesome Icelandic musicians and part of the exciting DesignMarch 2014 program. Have a look here.

Ps. We’ve added all the playlists to Spotify, too. You’ll find Hildur Yeoman here, Milla Snorrason here and Eyglo here.
