Halla recently visited the World Design Capital 2012 Helsinki to partake in Design Round Table alongside other Nordic design experts, movers and shakers to discuss internationalisation of design. Interesting topic, don’t you think?

The discussions took place in Pavilion, which looked so swell to us that we thought we would share it with you, too.

Designed at Aalto University‘s Wood Program, Pavilion is a showcase of Finnish sustainable wood architecture.

The architecture is based on the winning design of Pyry-Pekka Kantonen selected in the spring of 2011.

Take a look at Dezeen’s recent write-up on the architecture of it, too.

The programme is coordinated by Demos Helsinki – take a look, it is a wet dream of anybody interested in urban culture – or just plain good time.

ps. As per the Round Table, I hear those in the know quite liked the Icelandic Designers and Farmers project – you may want to take a look, too!
