Hey collection by Italian Fabio del Percio of Hver design gives a new spin to the age old method that was in use in his native Italy until the II World War. While back then, people slept on mattresses stuffed with hey, del Percio has filled poufs and pillows with it.

The material is readily available in Iceland, too. Del Percio wraps it up in see through PVC that is usually used for boats and is strong and suits various different pieces and both indoor and outdoor use.

Fabio del Percio is an Italian designer based in Reykjavik, Iceland. He has over 20 years of experience in upholstery, creating tailor made furniture for yachts and sail boats.

In 2012, del Percio teamed up with architect Anna Giudice, with whom they showed a collection inspired by the Icelandic countryside at Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2011 and DesignMarch 2012 in Reykjavik.

The Hver design pieces are recyclable and the designers strive for as sustainable and environmentally friendly designs as possible.
