Last night the LHÍ graduation extravaganza kicked off with the yearly graduation student fashion show. I wanted to make sure that I could actually see something this time, so we came there at 15 to eight…and yes we were able to see the glory of it all. I was a bit impatient waiting for it to start because I was so excited! The show itself didn’t start until 15 past eight, but it was well worth the wait.

Each designer had between 7-10 outfits and in total it was 69 walks down the runway.

One of my favorite collections was by Jenný Halla Lárusdóttir, massive chunky knitweat in beautiful colors! It reminded me a little bit of Sonia Rykiel, stripy black & white mixed with colors. Even the stripy stockings were knitted! lovely!

I was also huge fan of Hjördís Gestsdóttir‘s collection, delicate and feminine flowing pieces. I found her designs to be very wearable, I think they would look good on everyone…flattering for women with a normal figure.

Signý Þórhallsdóttir‘s collection was casual and sporty and I loved the use of surprising materials, the white wooden ball top looked amazing…and so did the bags! Really cool!

Gígja Ísis designs were a kind of underwear and shoe collection, it made the models look like strong independent women…I can easily imagine some superstar wearing her pieces for a photoshoot or during a concert.

Guðmundur Jörundsson designed a collection for men, it consisted mostly of black leather pieces, bamboo and fur. Interesting.

Everyone’s designs were brilliant! Here are some more pictures to inspire you on this Good Friday:
