Marý is a concept designer based in Södermalm, Stockholm. Working with product design and interiors, her design studio is known for storytelling and playful, long lasting quality products with a character and an eco-conscious approach.

During DesignMarch Marý exhibited two new eco-friendly products that are currently in development.

Air paper light ets it’s name from that it’s blown up and how little material it is made from. A series of floor lamps hand folded from environmentally friendly sustainable and biodegradable wax paper. The waxed paper is fragile and therefore retrieves it’s character with installation and usage. The lamp Air is symbolic for how little we need and how big simple things and materials with as little as human breath can become.

Join candle holders/storage boxes, made in wood and stained with red beet juice and turmeric.

Join is a candleholder and a storage for small objects, inspired by traditional wood handcrafting. Inspired by the first finger jointing furniture I saw when I was a kid and it really caught my attention. It was a desk that my father had made when he was 12 years old. Everything was done by hand and locked together with finger jointing.
