Viktor Weisshappel Vilhjálmsson recently graduated with a BA degree in visual communications from the Iceland Academy of the Arts. His final project is a graphical representation of the memories of Alfreð Gígja, a 38-year-old man diagnosed with depression and schizophrenia.

23The project takes a peek into Alfreð’s world, coloured by domestic violence in his youth and messages from beyond or other dimensions. It showcases  how the illness affects his daily life.

45Through a series of 12 images, Weisshappel Vilhjálmsson interprets Alfreð’s stories.

This is our third annual round-up of the final project by graduates from the Iceland Academy of the Arts, showcasing the brand new Icelandic design talent. For all previous posts in The Graduates category, see here.
