Icelandic and Finnish designers move in together to Stockholm during Stockholm Design Week 2015. The new home is located downtown Stockholm at Regeringsgatan 86, and is decorated with an exhibition of Icelandic and Finnish design curated by Hlin Helga Gudlaugsdottir, Elina Aalto and Marika Tesolin.

WE LIVE HERE is produced by the two national design promotion agencies Design Forum Finland and Iceland Design Centre in collaboration with Codesign, the project explores new ways of Nordic design collaboration on a practical level.

Just like in real life, WE LIVE HERE includes food, family, wardrobe and sounds, too.
Our menu is curated by Icelandic and Finnish chefs Sami Tallberg and Fannar Vernharðsson. Vernharðsson is a member of the Icelandic Culinary National Team and cooks New Nordic food from local, seasonal ingredients. Tallberg is known for his passion for wild, vegetarian food.

For Three Tea Tower (Thursday, February 5 at 20, strictly by invitation only), Brynhildur Pálsdóttir of Vík Prjónsdóttir, Katja Petterson, John Astbury and Aamu Song & Johan Olin of Company create an entirely new Nordic tea drink concoction. Our kitchen cupboards stacked with beautiful everyday objects by Iittala.

The sound design by Lexter Sound Design features special sound installations and sound shower technology, adding yet another dimension to the exhibition. We listen to spoken Icelandic and Finnish by Docventures and Alvarpið, as well as mixes by Nordic Playlist. In addition, type designer Guðmundur Úlfarsson (Good Moon Deer), design curator Suvi Saloniemi, Design Museum Helsinki, Antti of Poiat, Arkitekt-Johan and Indy & Popcorn will dj for us.

Our family wears Icelandic, Finnish and Swedish fashion, including Arela, Hildur Yeoman, Katri Niskanen, KRON by KRONKRON, Magnea Einarsdóttir, R/H, Sidenkompaniet, Vainio Seitsonen and Vimma.

The home also offers insights into more experimental projects and processes, research, provocations and attempts to push the boundaries of the familiar, including innovative projects that are both object and non-object based.
